Shixiong Hu is the President and Professor II of Huanghe Jiaotong University, China. He has long-term commitment to physical geography, civil engineering river dynamics, GIS application, and has achieved a number of innovative results. He has published more than 50 high-quality papers in international and national journals, made nearly 100 invited reports and keynote speeches as the chairman of international conferences or branch chairmen, published nearly 10 books and proceedings, 2 patents, and won the provincial science and technology award once.
